Dr Fraser & Partners Medical Practice

HOW DO I...
BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

To book an appointment, please ring the surgery you normally attend during normal opening hours. You may also book appointments online. Please register with reception so you can access this facility. We allow you to book routine appointments up to one week in advance. If you have an urgent or emergency reason to see the GP, we will see you on the same day if you ring at 8.30am for morning appointments and at 2.30pm for afternoon appointments.

HOW DO I...
SPEAK TO MY DOCTOR?

You may telephone to speak with the doctor on call or a practice nurse if it is appropriate and you require advice. The doctor or nurse may be busy with another patient and you may not be able to speak to them straight away. The receptionist will either put you through to the doctor or will take a telephone number for the doctor to contact when they are free. If it is an urgent call then please tell the receptionist and they will put you through to the doctor on call straight away. Please ring the surgery you normally attend in the first place.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN HOME VISITS?

Home visits take up a lot of time for the GP due to the large area covered by the practice. If you really cannot make it to the surgery for medical reasons, you should telephone our emergency number 0845 576 9442 before 11.00am for a visit that day.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS?

Due to the time taken and the possibility of errors, we cannot accept prescription requests by telephone. Please use the right hand side of your prescription form to order your repeat medication and either:

  1. Bring it to the practice and place it in the letterbox provided or give it to the receptionist.

  2. Post it, including a self addressed and stamped envelope and we will post it to you.

  3. Contact one the many pharmacies in the area who provide a collection service. There are leaflets in the surgeries giving the names and addresses of those pharmacies providing this service.

In all cases, a minimum of 2 working days is required to produce your prescription.

HOW DO I...
REGISTER?

Due to the busy nature of the practice, there are times when we may not be able to take on new patients. However, contact reception and they will give you advice on registration matters.
